Hainline Participates in YMCA Annual Campaign

The Downtown Seattle YMCA kicked off its 2017 Annual Campaign in February with the help of Hainline’s Project Support Manager, Bob Sepúlveda. Bob is the Community Campaign Chair for the fund drive that will provide reduced membership fees, swim lessons, scholarships, summer camp tuition for at risk youth, equipment for programs like Cycling for Parkinson that reduces symptoms of the disease, and many other programs to support youth and adults at the Downtown YMCA. Bob was the Community Campaign Chair for the 2016 fund drive that exceeded its goal by raising over $100,000. This year’s goal is aggressive with a target of $110,000. As Bob said in his remarks at the kick off celebration, “Last year we did great, but I felt I could have done more. We just need to do what we did last year, and 10% more.”

Testimonials at the kick-off related the stories of members and how the YMCA has positively impacted their lives. Bob agrees that his life has been enhanced by the Y and he volunteers in the annual campaign so that financial barriers do not prevent others from also receiving those benefits.

On March 6th and 7th, Bob spend his lunch hours fundraising over $4000 and will continue to help in fundraising efforts through the end of the campaign. The annual campaign runs through March 15.
